Terms & Conditions

All prospective students are required to read the following conditions before signing the LELA Application for Admission form:

1. LELA (London English Language Academy) is genuinely committed to equal opportunities and will do everything possible to ensure that each student receives equal education and tuition regardless of their nationality, race, gender or status.

2. LELA reserves the right to refuse any applicant who may prejudice the aims of the school.

3. LELA operates a strictly non-smoking policy in the classrooms and offices.

4. Tuition fees are only refundable where a student has been refused an entry clearance from the British Embassy, British High Commission or British Home Office. The refusal letter and return of our original letter must substantiate all refusals. A 10% administration charge will be made with a minimum charge of £50.

5. Students who wish to return to their country for personal reasons may transfer their fees or deposits to start at a later date.

6. LELA will not transfer fees from one student to another.

7. LELA provides tuition for foreign students in strict accordance with the regulations issued by the British Home Office, along with the conditions that the students have agreed to abide by.

8. LELA reserves the right to alter or amend its internal certificates and diplomas throughout the academic period.

9. LELA will not be held responsible for any mail lost or stolen as a result of the student using the schoolıs address for sending or receiving mail.

10. LELA will not be held responsible for the loss or theft of students' belongings in the school's building. We advise that students take good care of their personal belongings and do not leave them unattended.

11. LELA reserves the absolute right to amend lessons and timetable and to merge or split classes when deemed appropriate.

12. Students' attendance is monitored and recorded on a daily basis.

13. Students' files are confidential and will only be issued to a recognised authority.

14. Students are advised to make sure that they have sufficient funds before they enrol at LELA. The school cannot offer any subsidy if a student is unable to complete a course as a result of financial constraints.

15. Students must purchase all necessary course books at the time of enrolment. The cost of course books is not included in the course price.

16. These conditions do not affect any students' statutory rights and are subject to the jurisdiction of English law.
